Terms of service

Clear expectations for a helpful community.

These terms govern access to Helpeex and related services. Last updated 29 July 2026.

Helpeex is a platform

Helpeex provides tools that let independent users publish, discover, discuss, offer, accept and review tasks. Helpeex does not perform, supervise or guarantee user-created tasks and is not a party to agreements between users.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, legally capable of making the agreements you enter into, provide accurate information and protect your credentials. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

Independent user agreements

You are responsible for checking another user, defining the scope, timing, location, compensation, expenses and safety precautions, and complying with applicable tax, licensing, employment and other legal obligations. Users act independently. Helpeex is not an employer, agency, insurer, payment guarantor or professional-services provider. Ratings, verification indicators and profile information are community signals, not guarantees of identity, qualifications, conduct or task quality.

Compensation and disputes

Any money, barter or free-help arrangement is agreed directly by the users. Unless a separate Helpeex payment service expressly says otherwise, users handle payment, refunds, expenses, tax and disputes themselves. Keep the agreed scope and compensation clear before work begins.

Safety and emergencies

Assess the task, participant and location before meeting. Do not continue when circumstances feel unsafe. Helpeex is not an emergency service and cannot monitor in-person work. Contact the appropriate local authority if anyone is in immediate danger.

Prohibited activity

Do not use Helpeex for unlawful, dangerous, fraudulent, abusive, discriminatory, exploitative, privacy-invasive or rights-infringing activity. Impersonation, scams, stalking, doxxing, malware, spam and review manipulation are prohibited.

Content and moderation

You retain ownership of your content and grant Helpeex the limited rights needed to host, display, secure and operate the service. Helpeex may investigate, restrict or remove content and accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, enforcement or legal compliance.

Third-party services

Helpeex may rely on hosting, mapping, email, device, browser and other third-party services. Their terms and availability may apply separately. Helpeex is not responsible for third-party services or external links it does not control.

Availability and disclaimers

The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, Helpeex does not guarantee identity, task quality, payment, location accuracy, uninterrupted availability, results or user conduct. You use the platform and interact with users at your own informed risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helpeex is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, lost profits or data, or harm arising from user conduct, tasks, off-platform arrangements or third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights where applicable.

Your responsibility for claims

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful content, breach of these terms or violation of another person's rights. This does not apply where the loss was caused by Helpeex.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Helpeex and request account deletion. Helpeex may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, safety, repeated violations, legal compliance or material breach. Provisions that logically survive termination, including liability and dispute terms, remain effective.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service changes and will publish the revised date. These terms are governed by Swiss law and disputes are subject to the competent courts in Basel, except where mandatory consumer law gives you another forum or protection. Legal questions can be sent to [email protected].
