Information we process

Depending on how you use Helpeex, we process account and contact details, profile information, tasks, proposals, workflow activity, messages, ratings and comments, reports, support requests, preferences, uploaded media, authentication events and technical security logs. We also process country, city, street or precise GPS coordinates when you choose to provide them.

Purposes and legal bases

We use information to provide your account and requested platform functions, show relevant tasks, connect participants, operate task workflows, deliver messages and support, and keep the service secure. Depending on applicable law, processing is based on performance of our agreement with you, legitimate interests in operating and protecting Helpeex, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where it is specifically requested.

What other users can see

Task titles, descriptions, general locations, compensation and creator information may be visible to visitors. Signed-in users may open profiles and see names, avatars, biographies, general locations, membership dates, ratings and written review comments. We do not display profile email addresses or phone numbers in the public profile screen. Exact addresses and private details should be shared only when necessary and with the intended participant.

Location information

You can create and search for tasks using an address or GPS coordinates. Browser location is requested only after you activate a location feature. Precise coordinates can reveal a sensitive place, so review task visibility before publishing and use an approximate location where exact precision is not necessary.

Service providers and transfers

We may use infrastructure, storage, email, observability and security providers that process only the information needed for their role. Processing may occur in Switzerland, the EEA or other countries using appropriate legal safeguards where required.

Retention and security

We retain information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed for platform operation, safety, dispute handling, legal compliance and enforcement. Retention periods vary by data type. We use access controls, authentication, logging and other safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can edit profile information, export account data and request deletion from the app. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, restriction, portability or object to certain processing.

Deletion and legal exceptions

Account deletion removes or de-identifies information from active systems where reasonably possible. We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, accounting or compliance. Information already shared with another user may remain in that user's records.

Children and automated decisions

Helpeex is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children. Search and relevance features may order content using task and location information, but Helpeex does not currently make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Cookies and browser storage

The public website currently has no advertising or analytics tracking. The app uses essential browser storage for sessions and preferences. Read the Cookie Notice for details.

Updates and complaints

We may update this notice as the service or law changes and will publish the revised date here. You may contact us first with a concern and may also complain to the competent data-protection authority, including the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner where applicable.
